First Care Medical Services strives to achieve excellent, cost effective health care and excellent customer service. During the annual Staff Recognition dinner on January 3, 2009, First Care celebrated a year of progress and honored staff for the value they bring to the organization and to the communities they serve. Fellow workers nominated her as the employee who most closely carries out the award's intention: "Treat every customer as if your world revolves around them - because it does."
Deb Vedbraaten, LPN in the Long Term Care, was recognized by peers as an employee who Goes the Extra Mile for patients and families. Employees considered the following statement when nominating other employees. "Some people dream of worthy accomplishments while others stay awake and do them." "The best way to predict the future is to create it." The Innovation Award for 2008, The Golden Screwdriver, was presented to Laura Woolliscroft, registered nurse in the hospital.
